Mahalia is creatively driven and passionate when it comes to design, drawing her inspiration from nature and art. She is highly motivated and dedicated in her life pursuits, continually striving to strengthen her technical skills and broaden her knowledge. As an inherently empathetic and social person, Mahalia loves to connect with people. She believes there is great value in exploring how the built-in environment can best fulfill one’s intrinsic emotional and physical needs.

As a lover of expression, she uses art, photography and culture to create unique, harmonious, balanced designs. She places importance in her client relationships, to ensure the homeowners personality is captured in the design — ensuring it is truly reflective of their own memories and stories through the use of specific colours, textures and patterns.

Mahalia received her Bachelor of Interior Design from Mount Royal University (CIDA accredited program), in Calgary, Alberta. In her personal time, she loves to try new restaurants, hike, travel, cook, read, attend yoga on calm Sunday mornings, paint watercolour landscapes and spend time with her family and cuddly pets.
